Brockville – After a 20-month hiatus due to the pandemic, the UCDSB will re-open the schools for community use. Past community user organizers have been notified they can now register with the expectation to begin using UCDSB facilities as of Dec.6.
When the school closures first occurred at the pandemic’s onset in March 2020, community use of schools programming was suspended. Since then, the UCDSB has been working with legal professionals and the Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange (OSBIE) to adapt existing contracts and procedures to ensure community use may proceed while ensuring the Board is able to meet its health and safety requirements without undue risk.
Past community user organizers have been notified they can now register with the expectation to begin use in early December.
