Wolfe Island – Two people are in hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and one with serious injuries after they both were struck by a vehicle on Wolfe Island on Tuesday.
Leeds County OPP says they responded on September 28th just after 7:15 p.m to a single-vehicle collision involving two pedestrians on Road 7051, Wolfe Island. A vehicle going north, toward the ferry terminal struck two pedestrians, sending them both to hospital by ambulance.
A 23-year-old from Kingston sustained serious injuries, while a 26-year-old also from Kingston remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 63-year-old driver from Kingston was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was not injured.
The Wolfe Island Fire Department and EMS responded to the collision.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation with assistance from the OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and Collision Reconstructionist.
