The Leeds & Grenville Point In Time Wants to Hear From You To Help Measure Local Homelessness

Brockville – You are invited to share your experiences by participating in a short survey about your housing history needs in Leeds & Grenville.

During the week of September 21-24th, 2021, communities within the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville will take part in a provincially mandated Point in Time Count (PiT) to measure local homelessness, and the impact of both the current pandemic circumstances and housing availability in our area.

Point in Time Count

A Point-in-Time Count is a one-day snapshot of homelessness that provides a community-wide understanding of local homelessness, while  identifying service needs and informing plans to prevent and reduce homelessness.

Homelessness in Leeds and Grenville is often not apparent; families and individuals may be living in unstable housing situations, such as staying temporarily with friends, or couch surfing. In order to address this, there will be a number of targeted activities planned to fully engage with our local homeless population.

These activities will include canvassing, magnet events being organized with partnering agencies, as well as, administering the survey in house with clients.

Are you….
  • Currently Without a Permanent Home?
  • Sleeping at a shelter?
  • Sleeping outside or on the street?
  • Couch surfing?
  • If yes, your story matters! We invite you to share your experiences by participating in a short survey about your housing history needs. The survey takes about 10 minutes and participation is completely voluntary.
  • $20 gift card will be given to participants
