Leeds-Grenville & Lanark – The festive season is alive and well at Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health (LLGAMH). In addition to supporting our clients during the holiday season, the LLGAMH team is also giving back to the community.
Staff held a toy drive and the gifts have been dropped off at the Angel Tree at the Brockville Walmart. A food drive is also underway, with donations going to the Brockville Food Bank.
CEO Patricia Kyle says it’s important to give back. “LLGAMH offers services and programs for people who are experiencing substance use and/or mental health concerns. Family members and caregivers play a significant role as well. Supporting our local communities extends that care even further.”
At LLGAMH, support for the internal team is important too. During the month of December, several events were held to bring some fun to the workplace, including virtual cooking classes, an Act of Kindness Day, and the always-fun Holiday Sweater Day.
“Our Social Wellness Appreciation Team (S.W.A.T.) brings a lot of team spirit to LLGAMH, and we are grateful for what they do,” adds Patricia Kyle. “We know we can provide better care for our
clients if we care for each other as well.” Happy Holidays from the entire LLGAMH team!
