HEAT WARNING for our entire region for next few days!

Brockville – A HEAT WARNING has been issued by Environment Canada for Brockville – Leeds-Grenville, Smiths Falls – Lanark, Morrisburg – SD&G, Kingston and Ottawa for the next few days.

Daytime highs of 31 to 33 Celsius with overnight lows of 20 to 22 Celsius in Eastern Ontario, including Ottawa and regions along the Ottawa River and St. Lawrence River, today through Tuesday.

The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Check on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water

Reduce your heat risk. Schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day.

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.

Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool place.
