On October 27th, 2021, the Gananoque Police received a complaint that a male had breached the conditions of his peace bond, as well as the conditions of his undertaking. All of the conditions relate to previous intimate partner offences. On November 11th, 2021, following an investigation, the 39-year-old Gananoque man was arrested and charged with one count of failing to comply with the conditions of his Peace Bond and one count of failing to comply with his Undertaking. The male was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
The Gananoque Police attended the Toronto Detention Centre on November 15th and arrested a 36-year-old Toronto man, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court. The man had failed to attend court relating to charges of Mischief under $5,000, Causing a Disturbance and two counts of failing to comply with the conditions of his Undertaking. The man was released and will appear in court at a later date.
Assault & Criminal Harassment:
On November 16th the Gananoque Police arrested a 52-year-old Gananoque man who was held in custody pending his bail hearing. The man was charged with one count of criminal harassment, two counts of assault police and two counts of resisting arrest. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
