Brockville Police Conducted a Joint Forces Operation with Ministry of Transportation on Wednesday

Brockville – On Wednesday,  July 14, 2021 the Brockville Police Service conducted a joint forces operation with the Ministry of Transportation Commercial Inspection and Enforcement Branch.

Police say the operation was in response to several traffic related complaints about unsafe vehicles and improper exhausts. This involved inspection notices handed out to offending vehicles that required the driver/owner to submit their vehicle for an inspection on today’s date.

Twelve notices were handed out to vehicles in our community. Of those twelve notices issued, seven were deemed unfit or surrendered their plates/sold their vehicles prior to this inspection. Three vehicles were given repair verification notices, which means that the vehicles will have to be repaired and proof of that repair is sent to the officer.

One vehicle passed the inspection and one other vehicle did not report. The owner of the vehicle that did not report will be charged with failing to report for the inspection.
