Brockville – The Brockville and District Shrine Club (BDSC) is pleased to announce the Inaugural Superstar, Isabella Howley.
Isabella is a super star, a role model, an outstanding student, an athlete and a really nice person. The BDSC is thrilled that she was nominated for this award.
Bella attended Queen’s University last year as a 1 st year engineering student on a full scholarship. She was dedicated and motivated to succeed and finished with a 3.8 grade point average. In addition she rowed and maintained her twice daily extremely vigorous training program as a competitive light weight rower. Further she is rated in the top 5 lightweight women in Canada! She also developed the social media program for a local business and was a peer mentor at Queens.
Incredible how this young woman has managed her athletics and academics and developed a balance with her life during a most stressful year. Not only did Bella figure out to handle the anxiety of all of this, and succeed, she also excelled.
Currently she is managing a summer internship at 3M, her rowing schedule and a degree required coding course.
Bella is transferring to UBC and will study Environmental Engineering. She has been recruited to the rowing team and will move there late August. Remember the name Isabella Howley, “A

For almost 100 years Brockville Shriners have wowed kids and adults with their clowns, parades and funny red hats. At the same time they have quietly made a difference in the lives of many
children. They have made dreams come true. Many patients have said, “They are Angels.” Super Stars of Summer is a new initiative that will recognize and reward Youth from our community who are making a positive difference.
We know that great things are happening and Shriners want to share these stories and reward and recognize our Youth. Posters attached
