2 New Cases, 20 Active Cases in Today’s LGL Health Unit COVID-19 Case Update – Wednesday, September 22, 2021


Leeds, Grenville & Lanark – The Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit is reporting 2 new cases in last 24 hours. There are now 20 active cases and 5 cases resolved.

There are  currently 3 open outbreaks:

– 1 open workplace outbreak, with 2 active cases.

– 2 outbreaks (5 Cases) in local schools. One at Maynard Public School and one at St. Mary Catholic School

There is 0 outbreaks in long-term care.

Cases are reported from data collected at 4:00pm yesterday.

We are still in Step 3 of Ontario’s Re-opening Plan.

2 active cases in hospital. 2 in the ICU and 1 on ventilators. (*LGL residents only)

There is 0 new death(s) and total deaths to date are 60.

There are 5 new recoveries, the total is now 1,790.

*Active Cases can be recovering at home or admitted to a hospital depending on their systems severity. If a case is hospitalized they can be admitted to the ICU and ventilated. Therefore, cases reported as being hospitalized may also appear as being in the ICU or ventilated at the same time.
