Warrants Executed at Court
A 17 year old Brockville youth and a 21 year old male surrendered themselves to police at Brockville Court yesterday after learning there were outstanding warrants for their arrests
In the first incident, the youth attended court and turned himself in to Brockville Police court staff who confirmed the outstanding warrant for failing to attend court on a previous occasion. He was taken into custody at that time and will appear in youth court this morning for a bail hearing.
Shortly after 4 pm the 21 year old male turned himself in at Brockville Court for an outstanding warrant issued when he failed to attend for his March 24th court appearance. At the time the court had closed for the day and he was held in custody and will appear today for a bail hearing this afternoon.
Breach of Recognizance
A 33 year old Ottawa man is in custody for Breaching his Recognizance following a traffic stop last evening.
Officers spotted the vehicle on King Street West in the area of St. Lawrence Park last evening 10:30 pm and stooped the vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, who is known to police, was found to be on a Recognizance of Bail for previous impaired driving charges with a curfew to be inside his Ottawa residence at the time of the stop.
