Smiths Falls Win Last 2 Games in Regular Season Over Weekend

Smiths Falls – The Smiths Falls Bears won their last two games of the regular season on Friday and Saturday night in Central Canada Hockey League action.

Friday night they hosted the Pembroke Lumber Kings, beating them 4-2.

Cade Helmer, Brent Broaders, Ryan Richardson, and Andrew McKenney found the back of the net, while Victor Desjardins made 16-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 32-24-3-2 on the year.

Cameron Hough and Brady Egan scored the two goals for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke fell to 31-27-2-1.

The Bears were in Brockville on Saturday night downing the Braves 5-3 at the Memorial Centre.

Bruce Coltart (2), Ryan Richardson (2), and Cameron McLean found the back of the net, while Victor Desjardins made 20-saves in relief as Smiths Falls finishes the regular season with a 33-24-3-2 record.

Austin Paul, Ryan Gillespie and Joshua Barnes each scored goals for the Braves all in the first period. Brockville finishes with a record of 36-16-3-7.
