Brockville – The Brockville Braves won a 3-2 decision over the Kanata Lazers on Friday night in Central Canada Hockey League Tier 1 action at the Memorial Centre.
In the first period, Brockville’s Philippe Gilmour with an assist from Michael Locatelli would score the first goal for the Braves at just 3:38 in the period. Mike McArthur’s goal at 3:59 in the period would give Brockville a 2-0 lead at the end of the first.
After Kanata tied the game 2-2 on goals by Jack Quinn and Connor Sleeth in the second period, Mike McAthur would grab the game winning goal just a minute into the third period to extend Brockville’s winning streak to three games.
McArthur had two goals on the night for his third two goal game of the season. He now has 10 goals and 20 points in 20 games. Evenson made 35 saves in the Braves win.
Jack Quinn scored his 21st goal of the year. He has now recorded a point in three straight games. The Lasers are now 3-2-3 since the start of January.
