……………………..HEAT WARNING continues for our entire region for today. A period of hot weather continues. Daytime high temperatures in excess of 30 degrees Celsius, with humidex values in the high thirties to low forties, are expected. Overnight lows near 20 degrees Celsius are also expected through this period, providing little relief from the heat. A slightly cooler airmass may move into the area this weekend, however there is considerable uncertainty. A few areas towards eastern Ontario are likely to experience extreme heat and high humidex values on Saturday as well………………………………………………..

Braves Down Kemptville 5-2 Friday Night at Memorial Centre – VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

Brockville – The Brockville Braves hosted the Kemptville 73ès on Friday night, beating them 5-2 in Central Canada Hockey League action at the Memorial Centre.

Brave’s Parker Casey, Josh Spratt, Austin Paul, Benjamin Dirven, and Ryan Gillespie tallied goals, while Jake Begley made 22-saves as Brockville improved their season record to 34-11-3-4.

Madoka Suzuki and Chase Broda scored goals for the 73’s.

Kemptville fell to 20-28-4-0 with the loss.

The Braves out-shot Kemptville 28 to 24 during the game.

Brockville travels to Pembroke Sunday night to face the Lumber Kings. Game time is 7:30pm.

The 73’s are in Rockland Sunday afternoon to play the Nationals. The puck drops there at 2:30pm.
