Smiths Falls – The Smiths Falls Bears lost a 3-2 overtime decision to the Pembroke Lumber Kings on Friday night in Central Canada Hockey League Tier 1 action in Smiths Falls.

Lumber KIng’s Jarrad Vroman scored the winning goal at 1:46 in overtime.

Andrew Meininger and Matt Walilko staked the Lumber Kings (13-8-0) to a 2-0 first-period lead, but Ryan Gibson and Hayden Hart earned the Bears (6-13-3) a point.

Alex Horawski stopped 34 of 36 shots en route to his first CCHL win for Pembroke.

Smiths Falls has now lost 10 games in a row.

The Bears travel to Rockland to play the Nationals on Sunday afternoon. The puck drops at 2:30pm.
