Update: OPP Investigation Robbery at Gas Station

Man Charged

TOWN OF PERTH – Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Detectives from the Lanark County Detachment OPP, continue to actively investigate a robbery at a gas station in the Town of Perth.

At 9:45pm on Tuesday October 3, 2017 officers responded to a call to the Donaldson’s Gas Bar at 230, Gore Street East.

Members of the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit and the OPP East Region Forensic Identification Service assisted in the response, search and investigation.

Investigation revealed that a male suspect entered the business with his face concealed and demanded money. The suspect was in possession of a firearm and fled the scene on foot.

Bryan MORDY (39 years) of the Town of Perth is charged:

One (1) Count                       Robbery Using a Firearm.

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

MORDY was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
