THREE CHARGED AFTER UNSAFE TARGET SHOOT

LEEDS – Member of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police continues an investigation after a citizen was narrowly missed by a stray bullet.

On the 20th of February 2017 at about 2:45 P.M. O.P.P. were called to a residence off of the 1000 Islands Parkway in Leeds and the Thousand Islands Parkway. A Leeds resident reported a stray bullet had entered his residence through a kitchen window, narrowly missing him. After an investigation officers located and charged three males who had been target shooting on Weston Island.

A 26 year old and a 31 year old male from Pickering and a 26 year old Toronto man each face charges of Careless Use of a Firearm. They are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville on 17 March 2017 to answer to their charges.
