SUSPECT FLEES WITH PURSE AFTER ASSAULTING VICTIM

LEEDS – Officers of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an assault and theft.

On April 9, 2019 at about 9:40 a.m. OPP officers responded to a report that a male suspect wearing a red hoodie had pushed a women and stole her purse as she was about to enter a nearby business. The male was observed fleeing the scene in a dark blue car, older model with a patch of rust on the rear, right side near the roof. The vehicle was last seen driving Westbound on County Road 42 from Athens.
