Female arrested after domestic dispute On Thursday May 25, 2017 at approximately 3:03 pm police responded to a residence on Empress Avenue for a report of a domestic argument. Investigation revealed that a 19 year old, Smiths Falls woman had assaulted a male in the residence and damaged his personal property. The accused was arrested and later released by way of an appearance notice and officer in charge undertaking.

Traffic stop yields arrest On Friday May 26, 2017 at approximately 6:31 pm police conducted a traffic stop on Chambers Street. Investigation revealed that the 49 year old male driver of Smiths Falls provided police with a false name and was found to be a suspended driver. The male suspect also was found to be in breach of his probation order and officer in charge undertaking conditions. The suspect was placed under arrest and later released by way of a promise to appear and officer in charge undertaking.

Male arrested for consuming alcohol On Friday May 26, 2017 at approximately 8:54 pm police were called to attend the baseball diamonds on Old Slys Road for person’s consuming alcohol. Police attended and located a 30 year old Smiths Falls male who was on an officer in charge undertaking with a condition to abstain from consuming alcohol. The male was arrested and was later released by way of an appearance notice.

Traffic stop yields arrest On Sunday May 28, 2017 at approximately 9:41 pm police conducted a traffic stop on Brockville Street. Investigation revealed that the 30 year old male driver from the Perth, Ontario area provided police with a false name. The true identity of the male revealed that he was a suspended driver and there was an existing warrant for his arrest. The driver was arrested and later turned over to the O.P.P. on strength of their outstanding warrant.

Male arrested after domestic dispute On Sunday May 28, 2017 at approximately 11:15 pm police responded to a residence on Gladstone Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that a 30 year old male from Jasper, ON, had damaged personal property of a female resident. The male suspect was placed under arrest and later released by way of a promise to appear and officer in charge undertaking.
