Male and female arrested after shoplifting On Monday June 5, 2017 at approximately 7:11 pm police were called to a business on Lombard Street for a report of a shoplifter. Investigation revealed that 50 year old female of Smiths Falls entered the business, selected a product, concealed it and made no attempt to pay for it as she exited the store. A 49 year old male who was with the female suspect was found to be on conditions not to associate with her. Police located both the male and female suspect’s a short time later and placed both under arrest. Both were later released by way of an appearance notice and officer in charge undertaking.

Male arrested for breaching his release condition On Wednesday June 7, 2017 police located and arrested a 49 year old Smiths Falls male for failing to sing in as required by his release conditions. The suspect was held for a bail hearing to answer to these charges.

Female arrested on outstanding warrants On Wednesday June 7, 2017 a 48 year old female from Ottawa was arrested on outstanding warrants for her arrest. The warrants were issued in regards to Criminal Harassment and breaching her release conditions. The female suspect was held for a bail hearing to answer to her outstanding charges.

Police have received numerous complaints once again that these fraudsters are soliciting by way of phone calls and electronic means (Facebook and e-mail).
