EDWARDSBURGH – On April 4, 2019 members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) – Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU Leeds-Grenville & Lanark Unit) assisted with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Tactics & Rescue Unit (TRU) served a Search Warrant at a residence/property on County Road 44 in Edwardsburgh, Ontario.
As a result, Shane BULLIS aged 33 and Jennifer CHRETIEN aged 29 of Edwardsburgh, Ontario were arrested in possession of a significant quantity of stolen property obtained from various jurisdictions in Eastern Ontario. In addition, officers seized a quantity of a controlled substance suspected to be heroin.
The accused were charged with the following offences:
- Possession of stolen property obtained by crime, Criminal Code section 354(1)(a)
- Theft under $5,000, Criminal Code section 334(b)
- Fail to comply with Recognizance, Criminal Code section 145(3)
- Two counts of Possession of Schedule I Substance – Heroin. CDSA Section 4(1)
They were both transported to the Grenville County OPP Detachment in Prescott where they were later released on a Promise to Appear and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on May 10, 2019.
