STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY – The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several incidents after responding to 139 calls for service from Friday February 2, 2018 to Monday February 5, 2018.
Among these occurrences, SD&G OPP responded to 4 domestic disputes, 1 assault, 21 motor vehicle collisions, 3 neighbour disputes, 1 fraud related occurrence, 1 break and enter occurrence, 25 calls for police assistance, 18 traffic complaints and hazards, 5 Traffic enforcement occurrences, 9 911 calls, 10 alarm calls, 3 sudden death investigation, 2 Trespass to property calls,5 liquor licence act calls, 1 Impaired driving occurrences, 1 sexual assault investigation, 2 theft occurrences, 1 suspicious person call, 3 animal complaints, 1mental health act call, and 4 RIDE checks were conducted.
NORTH DUNDAS – On February 2, 2018 at approximately 11:37pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Cameron Road, North Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Daniel COLLINS (31) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Drive a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood
– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on February 15, 2018.
