SD&G – SD&G OPP News Reports for Feb 9th, 2018.
NORTH GLENGARRY – On February 9, 2018, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 417, North Glengarry Township and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.
– February 9, 2018 – 1:38am (North Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 161km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (23) from Montreal, Quebec was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
SOUTH DUNDAS – On February 9, 2018 at approximately 1:40am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a vehicle on County Road 2, South Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana from a male as well.
Konnor PAQUETTE (22) of Callander, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood
– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on February 27, 2018.
