BREACH OF CONDITIONS

North Glengarry – On March 6, 2017 at approximately 2:44pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a property in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township following a report of a male youth who was in contravention of conditions (must attend school/be of good behaviour) imposed from a previous incident.

The 15-year-old male from North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Conditions (2 counts – Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA)

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in accordance to provisions of the YCJA.

DRUGS SEIZED

South Dundas – On March 7, 2017 at approximately 12:26pm, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle for speeding (152km/h in a 100km/h zone) on Highway 401, South Dundas Township. The stop also resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

The male driver, Albert HAWA (27) of Mississauga, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

– Race a Motor Vehicle (Highway Traffic Act)

– Fail to Surrender Insurance Card (Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act)

A female passenger, Alexandra MOTORINA (28) of East York, Ontario was also arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

Both were released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on May 2, 2017.

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

South Stormont – On March 8, 2017 at approximately 1:52am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in South Stormont Township (St-Andrews West area). Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult female and her boyfriend resulted in the male being struck with a chair by the female. The male received minor injuries.

The 29-year-old female from Thames Centre, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault with a Weapon – Spousal

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on April 4, 2017. Her name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
