IMPAIRED DRIVER

South Stormont – On March 27, 2017 at approximately 9:03pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision at a property on Moulinette Road, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that a vehicle had struck a building and that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Cameron PYKE (47) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired

– Driving a Motor Vehicle With More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on April 11, 2017.

DISQUALIFIED DRIVER

South Stormont – On March 27, 2017 at approximately 4:08pm, an OPP Highway Safety Division (HSD) officer intercepted a vehicle on Highway 138, South Stormont Township. A check of the adult male driver indicated that his drivers permit was disqualified resulting from a previous incident. Further information also revealed that he was wanted (warrant) by Cornwall Community Police Service (CCPS).

The 41-year-old male from South Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving While Disqualified

– Drive Motor Vehicle on a Highway using Hand-held Device (Highway Traffic Act)

He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on April 25, 2017. He was turned over to CCPS for follow-up in their investigation.

THEFT OF TIRES

North Glengarry – Between March 24-27, 2017 – culprit(s) attended a property located on County Road 34, North Glengarry Township and removed tires & rims from stored camping trailers. A total of four (4) 15″ tires and 5-stud rims were stolen.

An investigation continues.
