SD&G – SD&G OPP News Briefs for February 2nd, 2017.
North Glengarry – On February 1, 2017 at approximately 2:46pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of an assault at a property on Main Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and female resulted in the female being assaulted. The suspect was also in breach of conditions (non-communication order/keep the peace) imposed from a previous incident.
The 45-year-old male from North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (2 counts)
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
North Dundas – On February 2, 2017 at approximately 4:15am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a male in breach of a condition (remain with surety) imposed from a previous incident. The suspect was located at a residence on Main Street in the Village of Winchester, North Dundas Township and arrested.
Shaun TYPHAIR (35) of North Dundas Township is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
