Ottawa OPP Looking to Identify Male Party

Ottawa -The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating an incident where a motorist refused to stop for the police on Highway 417 at Kinburn Side Road.

On August 29th 2017, at approximately 1:17pm, an officer was conducting radar enforcement for the westbound traffic when a black Audi Q5 SUV with chrome trim was clocked at 159 Km/h in a posted 100 Km/h zone. The officer activated his emergency lights and siren but the vehicle accelerated to an even higher speed and passing vehicles on the left gravel shoulder creating a dust cloud.

When the officer observed this behavior, he did not attempt to continue the traffic stop and deactivated his emergency lights and siren. The suspect vehicle was seen entering the emergency turn around near Galetta Side Road and proceed back in the eastbound direction.

The driver was described as a white male, 18-29 yrs old and the only occupant.

The suspect vehicle is a black Audi Q5 with chrome trim, front windows not tinted with an unknown Ontario plate.
