LEEDS – Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation involving an impaired driver.
On October 11, 2018 at about 11:10 PM O.P.P officers observed a southbound car on County Road 29 in Elizabethtown Kitley Township. The vehicle with a headlight out, no taillights and with only three proper tires was stopped. After further investigation OPP arrested the driver for Impaired Driving and for Having More Than 80 Mgs of Alcohol in his Blood While Operating a Motor Vehicle, Driving while Disqualified, and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The driver also faces numerous Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Act charges.
44 year old Thomas CARR of Pierrefond, Quebec is scheduled for a bail hearing on October 12, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville.
