Leeds County OPP Nab More Impaired Drivers

LEEDS –   Officers of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing investigations into incidents involving impaired drivers.

On March 22, 2019 at around 2:53 p.m. Thousand Islands OPP officers entered into an impaired driving investigation on Wolfe Island. 42 year old Collin Daniel MOSIER of Kingston was arrested for driving with more than 80 Mgs of alcohol in his blood. He is scheduled to appear at the Kingston Court of Justice on April 11, 2019 to answer to the charge.

On March 23, 2019, at about 6:37 p.m. OPP officers arrested a Novice driver following a collision on County Road 29, Elizabethtown Township. 27 year old Justin PETERS of Drummond-North Elmsley Township was charged with impaired driving, driving with more than 80 Mgs of alcohol in his blood and novice driver blood alcohol content above zero. Peters also faces charges under the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear at the Brockville Court of Justice on April 26, 2019 to answer to the charges.

On March 25th, 2019 at around 3:21 p.m. Leeds County officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on County Road 2, Front of Young Township. As a result, 51 year old Kim KATTOUW of Brockville was charged with driving with more than 80 Mgs of alcohol in her blood. She is scheduled to appear at the Brockville Court of Justice on April 12, 2019 to answer to the charge.

On March 29th, 2019 at around 2:09 a.m. Leeds County officers stopped a man for a traffic related offence on Hwy 401 in Elizabethtown Township. After an investigation, 24yr old Mohamed Oussama MANAI of Montreal, QC was charged with impaired driving and driving with more than 80 Mgs of alcohol in his blood. He faces further charges under the Highway Traffic and Liquor License Act. He is scheduled to appear at the Brockville Court of Justice on April 19, 2019 to answer to the charges.

Drivers found their vehicles towed and impounded.
