Lanark OPP Weekly News for Week July 17th – 24th, 2017

LANARK COUNTY – Between Monday 17^th July 2017 and Monday 24^th July 2017officers from the Lanark Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 409 calls for service.

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions.

35 Total.

Including 11 Car/ Deer.

Impaired Drivers.

At 10:52 on Thursday 20^th July officers responded to a call to a to blue Nissan car driving erratically on Appleton Side Road in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills.

Jari JUTILA (27 years) of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills is charged:

One (1) Count                  Drive Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired by Drug.

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

One (1) Count                   Possession of Schedule 1Drug.

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

JUTILA was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

At 04:25pm on Saturday 22^nd July officers were called to a two vehicle collision on Richmond Road in Beckwith Township.

On arrival one vehicle was in the south ditch and the male driver received treatment by Emergency Medical Services personnel.

Investigation revealed that the two vehicles involved had both been traveling west bound.

Bianca GRAY (23 years) of the City of Ottawa is charged:

One (1) Count                  Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with over

            80 mgs of Alcohol per 100mls of Blood.

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

Gray was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

At 04:29pm on Sunday 23^rd July officer were called to a disturbance at a residence on Christie Lake Road in Tay Valley Township.

Investigation revealed that people at the location had been attempting to prevent an impaired driver from leaving the property.

Kathy OAKLEY (50 years) of Drummond North Elmsley Township is charged:

One (1) Count                  Drive Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired by Alcohol.

One (1) Count                  Operate Motor Vehicle with over 80mgs of Alcohol per

           100mls of Blood.

One (1) Count                   Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

All offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

OAKLEY was released to appear at the Provincial Court in Perth.

At 06:39pm on Sunday 23^rd July officers were called to Matheson Drive in Montague Township were a Buick car had collided with a tree.

Mary Ann STIENBERG (56 years) of Merrickville is charged:

One (1) Count                  Having Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with over 80mgs

           of Alcohol per 100mls of Blood.

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

STIENBERG was released to appear at the Provincial Court in Perth.

Domestic Incidents

At 01:23pm on Sunday 23^rd July officers were called to a residence in Beckwith Township. A 58 year old man from that Township is charged:

Two (2) Counts                  Assault.

The man was released to appear at the Provincial Court in Perth.

Officers continue to investigate an incident in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills reported on Tuesday 18^th July.

11 other incidents related to child custody, communication and property disputes.
