Lanark County OPP Weekly Report for Week of April 19th – 24th, 2017

LANARK COUNTY – Between Tuesday 19th April 2017 and Monday 24th April 2017 officers from the Lanark Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 329 calls for service.

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions.

14 Total. Including 3 Car/ deer and 1 Car/ Turkey.

At around 06:30pm on Thursday 20th April a vehicle traveling north on Harper Condie Road in Montague Township struck a mail box and failed to remain at the scene. It appears that the vehicle was traveling on the wrong side of the road and lost a mirror in the impact. The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Lanark County Detachment.

At 05:23pm on Sunday 23rd April officers were called to County Road 43 near Best Road in the Township of Drummond North Elmsley, where a Yamaha motorcycle had collided with a Hyundai car. The driver and passenger of the motor cycle sustained serious injuries. The road was closed and traffic diverted for approximately one hour. The injured parties were transported from the scene by Air Ambulance. The investigation is ongoing.

Domestic Incidents.

Officer continue to investigate an allegation relating to unwanted communication and harassment reported on Thursday 20th April in The Municipality of Mississippi Mills.

Seven other incidents related to property disputes preventing a Breach of The Peace.

Family Disputes.

6 Total.



During the nights of Wednesday 19th April to Thursday 20th April and Thursday 20th April to Thursday 21st April 2017 in the Town of Carleton Place, a number of unlocked vehicles were entered and rifled.

No damage to vehicles was reported during those nights.
