Lanark County OPP Weekly News for Week of March 19th – 26th, 2018

LANARK COUNTY – Between Monday March 19, 2018 and Monday March 26, 2018 officers from the Lanark Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 341 calls for service.

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions.

Total.                   19             Including.

Parking Lots           4

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“In Ditch”)      4

Domestic Incidents

At 2:40am on Friday March 23 officers were called to a residence on Bellamy Road in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. As a result of the subsequent investigation a thirty one (31) year old man from that Municipality is charged:

One (1) Count      Assault

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

He was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

At 8:45pm on Sunday March 25 officers were called to a residence on Ferguson Road in Beckwith Township. As a result of the subsequent investigation a fifty six (56) year old woman from that Township is charged:

One (1) Count      Assault with a Weapon

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

She was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

At 6:25pm on Wednesday March 21 officers were called to Lake Park Drive in Beckwith Township where an unwanted male party was at the front door of a residence.

As a result of the subsequent investigation a sixty five (65) year old man from the Town of Carleton Place is charged:

One (1) Count      Criminal Harassment

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

He was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

Officers dealt with six other incidents relating to property and communication disputes.
