Lanark County OPP Weekly News for Week of Dec 4th – 11th, 2017

LANARK COUNTY – Between Monday December 4, 2017 and Monday December 11, 2017 officers from the Lanark Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 365 calls for service.

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions.

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“In Ditch”)        6

Impaired Drivers.

At 08:52am on Tuesday December 5 officers responded to a complaint of a Honda passenger vehicle traveling on Highway 43 in Drummond North Elmsley Township. The vehicle was reported as moving at a low speed and veering from the shoulder of the road into the opposite lane and back again. The vehicle was located in the Town of Perth.

Shirley NINCEVIC (68 years) of the Town of Perth is charged:

One (1) Count       Driving Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired (Alcohol)

One (1) Count        Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample of Breath.

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

She was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

At 4:47pm on Tuesday December 5 officers responded to complaints of an eastbound Toyota passenger vehicle traveling erratically on Highway 7 entering the Town of Carleton Place.

Clyde MACKENZIE (22 years) of the City of Ottawa is charged:

One (1) Count       Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80mgs of Alcohol per 100mls of Blood.

Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

He was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

Domestic Incidents

 Officers dealt with 5 incidents involving child custody and property disputes.
