LANARK COUNTY –The Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 333 calls for service over the past week.

Motor Vehicle Collisions
There were twenty-nine Motor Vehicle Collisions reported to Lanark County OPP. Six of these were Car-Deer Collisions and two involved personal injury.
The Lanark County OPP investigated 16 domestic related occurrences during the past week. Criminal charges resulted in two of these investigations. One where a female is charged with Assault. Another where a male is charged with Assault and Impaired Driving.
Break and Enters
On June 8, 2017 police received a report that a commercial property on Matheson Drive, Montague Township was broken into. It was discovered that tires and various tools were taken. The investigation is continuing.
Thefts / Mischiefs
On June 5, 2017 at approximately 9:45 pm the OPP received a report that on Richmond Road, Beckwith Township unknown suspect/s punctured several vehicle tires at two residential properties. The investigation is continuing.
On June 7, 2017 at approximately 7:00 pm police received a report of a male slumped over the wheel of his pick-up truck at the intersection of Perkins Road and Christie Lake Road, Tay Valley Township. Police attended to investigate. As a result, Andrew ROBERTS age 38 of Tay Valley Township is charged with Care or Control While Impaired and Care or Control Over 80 mgs of Alcohol. He was released on a promise to appear for Perth Court on July 17, 2017.
On June 9, 2017 at approximately 9:55 pm police stopped a vehicle on Roger Stevens Drive, Montague Township. Police determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. As a result, Terrence HOOKE age 29 of Ottawa is charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol. He was released on a promise to appear for Perth Court on June 26, 2017.
