LEEDS –   Officers of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing an investigation involving an impaired driver that attempted to avoid a R.I.D.E. check.

On February 9, 2018 at about 11:30 P.M OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) in Mallorytown, Front of Yonge Township when a driver made attempts to avoid the check by pulling into a private driveway.

After an investigation the driver was arrested for having over 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood.

35 year old Cory ARCAND of Brockville has an upcoming court appearance scheduled for March 2, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville.
