Gananoque – Police reports from the Gananoque Police Service from June 16th to 18th, 2017.
June 16, 2017
In the early morning hours of June 16, 2017, the Gananoque Police Service received a vehicle for observation from the Kingston Police Force. The vehicle had been involved in a fail to remain accident in Kingston.
Officers kept observation for the vehicle and located the vehicle being operated within the Town of Gananoque.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with the driver, officers determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. The driver was arrested for impaired driving , operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
The driver, a 29 year old male from Gananoque was later released on Promise to Appear and an Undertaking before an Officer in Charge.
The male’s driver’s licence was automatically suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
Outstandung Arrest Warrant:
On June 16, 2017 officers while on patrol observed a male known by them to be wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Officers arrested a 38 year old male from Gananoque on charges of Fraud under $5000 and theft under $5000.
The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.
June 18, 2017
On June 3, 2017 Officers of the Gananoque Police Service received a complaint of a theft from a local business.
The male suspect was captured on video surveillance. As a result the male was identified.
On June 18, 2017 officers located and arrested a 49 year old Gananoque man he was charged with theft under. The male was released to appear in court at a later date
