Gananoque – Gananoque Police Reports for July 8th, 2018.

The Gananoque Police arrested a 55-year-old Gananoque man for failing to comply with the conditions of his release. The man had been released previously on a recognizance with several conditions, including meeting with a member of the John Howard Society Bail Supervision Program, as well as, notifying the Gananoque Police of any change of address. The male did not attend his meeting as required and he also moved from his residence and failed to notify the Gananoque Police.
The male was charged with two counts for failing to comply with his recognizance and he was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The Gananoque Police arrested a 44-year-old Gananoque man for domestic violence-related offenses. The accused had over the period of several months engaged in unwanted contact with the victim, who was a former partner of the accused. The accused had previously been cautioned by police to have no further contact with the victim, however, the accused continued to communicate by leaving voicemails and text messages. In one voicemail the accused threatened to kill the victim.
The male was arrested and charged with criminal harassment and uttering threats to cause death. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
