Gananoque – Gananoque Police News for October 30th, 2017.

On October 24th, 2017 Gananoque Police Service spoke with an 25 year old Gananoque male, cautioning him regarding his unwanted and disturbing communications with a female.  Hours after the male was cautioned, the Victim advised that the male had escalated his communication and had been observed lingering in the vicinity of her apartment.

Gananoque Police later located the male and arrested him.  He was held for a show cause hearing and released late the same day.

On October 28th, 2017 Gananoque Police received information that the male had been breaching conditions of his Recognizance since being released.  After pursuing the lead provided, police confirmed that the Accused had in fact breached two of the conditions of his Recognizance.

The Accused male was located and arrested and will be held for another show cause hearing.

Charges include:
Criminal Harassment – Repeated Communication – Section 264(1)(b) Criminal Code (2 counts)
Criminal Harassment – Watch and Beset – Section 264(1)(c) Criminal Code (2 counts)
Harassing Communication – Section 372(3) Criminal Code
Fail to Comply with Recognizance – Section 145(3) Criminal Code (2 counts)
