Drummond North Elmsley Township – Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have concluded the investigation of a School Bus Related incident on Highway 43 in Drummond North Elmsley Township.
At around 3:21pm on Thursday October 28, 2017 a School Bus was stationary with lights operating and stop sign activated, n the south side of Highway 43, east of a Foster Side Road. A westbound Pontiac passenger vehicle passed the School Bus.
As a result of the investigation a 68 year old woman from Tay Valley Township has been charged:
One (1) Count Fail to Stop For School Bus (Meeting).
Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The driver was issued with a Provincial Offences Notice which on conviction carries a total $490 and six Demerit points.
