Couple Involved in a Pair of Disturbances

A Brockville couple was dealt with twice in a 12 hour period in two separate disturbance complaints yesterday afternoon and early this morning.

The couple, a 21 year old Brockville woman and her 18 year old boyfriend first came to the attention of police yesterday afternoon when officers were dispatched to a Perth Street address when the resident there asked the couple be removed. The pair, who are friends of the complainant had walked into the residence and causing a commotion inside disturbing the other tenants in the building. When officers arrived the two left the area.

The young couple again came to the attention of the police just after midnight when offices from the Brockville Police and Leeds County OPP were called to a disturbance at the Super 8 Motel on Highway 2 East.  Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance between the couple at the Motel which calmed on officers arrival. The domestic disturbance is still under investigation.

Break-ins continue in Mid-town

Yesterday afternoon a resident of Salisbury Avenue attended to the Brockville Police Service and reported his garage had been broken into on Thursday October 5th. He initially thought only a small amount of change was taken from his garage but soon realized that he was also missing a number of power tools and came to report the incident to the police.

Area residents are encouraged to protect themselves from would be thieves by making sure all doors and windows are secured, garages and storage sheds are lit, and valuable items are kept out of view of thieves either by drawing curtains or securing them out of site. Let your neighbours know when you are going away and if anyone should be checking on your residence and please report any suspicious persons or activity in the area to police.
