Stolen Vehicle:

On July 26, 2018, police located a 32 year old male operating a vehicle that had been reported stolen the previous day.  The male, known to police, was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, breach of probation, and possession of stolen property that was also found on his person.  The male was held for a bail hearing.


Police located and arrested a 33-year-old male on an outstanding warrant for Theft Under $5000.  Held for bail.


On July 27, 2018 police were called to a North end residence regarding a domestic dispute.  After a short search, the suspect was located hiding in the bedroom of a neighbour’s residence.  The 31-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants and the domestic allegations are still being investigated.  Held for bail.


A 23-year-old male was arrested in relation to threats made towards the courthouse.  The male was unhappy with the court process and stated that he was getting an AK47 and returning to shoot the place up.  Police were given a photo of the suspect who was quickly identified and apprehended. The male was held for a bail hearing and charged with uttering threats and breach of probation.


Police were called to a downtown business regarding a possible impaired driver.  Upon arrival, police located a 22 year old male who was intoxicated but denied operating the motor vehicle.  Investigation and video footage determined the male was operating the vehicle.  He was arrested and charged with impaired operation after providing samples that were almost twice the legal limit.

Medical Assist

A 76 year old male collapsed while walking in the area of the Thousand Islands Secondary School.  A retired EMT, police, and ambulance were all on scene quickly and provided CPR to the patient.  The male was rushed to hospital where he recovers from a medical emergency.
