Brockville – Brockville Police News Briefs for January 31st, 2017.
On the 30th of January a 41 year old Brockville man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for his arrest for breaching his term of probation. He was spotted by an officer who recognized him from previous dealings. . This individual was taken into custody without incident and held for bail hearing due to the number of times he has failed to abide by his orders. He was remanded into custody.
Impaired Driving Arrest
A 29 year old man was arrested last night as a result of a complaint received after a motor vehicle left a local restaurant after concerns were expressed about the drivers sobriety. The vehicle was seen leaving the City shortly after 10pm and entering the 401 highway east bound. The driver was stopped in the Maitland area and supplied a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device. The result was a fail. He was taken into custody and provided samples of his breath to a qualified breath technician and obtained readings that exceed the legal limit. He has been released with a future court.
