BREAK AND ENTER SUSPECT STEALS TWO VEHICLES

LEEDS –   Officers of the Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue to investigate two separate vehicle thefts and a related break and enter to a cottage.

On January 26, 2019 at about 6:00 am OPP officers recovered a stolen pickup truck left on County Road 32. The truck was previously reported stolen from LaSalle, Ontario. Investigation revealed that the thief is believed to be responsible for a break and enter to a cottage on R12 in Rideau Lakes where tools and electronics were taken. It is believed that the suspect left the recovered vehicle and stole a second pickup truck from a business on Berryton Road.
