Alcohol Seized After Traffic Stop

LEEDS  –   Members of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation into possible illegal activity after a traffic stop.

On the 4th of February 2017 at about 10:00 A.M. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police HET (Highway Enforcement Team), in Leeds and the Thousands Islands Township stopped a vehicle on Highway 401 westbound near Gananoque Ont. As a result of an investigation, a quantity of higher end alcohol was located.

The alcohol namely whiskey, scotch, and cognac, along with several cases of beer with a value of $5000.00 was seized pending the outcome of the investigation.

The investigation continues.
