KINGSTON – A Flood Warning has been issued for Charleston Lake due to the significant amount of rain received in the past 24 hours. The region has seen upwards of 100 mm of rain which has caused water levels on Charleston Lake to rise quickly. With more rain forecast through the evening and overnight residents can expect to see spring type levels and flows for several days as the water works its way through the system.
Water managers continue to conduct operations to minimize the effects and pass flows down through the system.
CRCA staff will continue to monitor conditions and forecasts, and will update statements as needed. The Flood Warning will remain in effect until Thursday July 27, 2017.
