KINGSTON – The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA) has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement today.
Recent rainfall has increased creek and lake levels and as a result has lead to weaker ice conditions in the Cataraqui Region watershed. The CRCA is advising local residents to stay off of ice covered water bodies and away from unstable creek banks.
The CRCA provides information to the public on watershed safety conditions and does not measure ice thickness for recreational activities.
This statement is valid until further notice.
