Kingston – The Cataraqui Conservation Foundation (CCF), in partnership with the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority, will host the Forever Green Gala, the primary fundraiser for the CCF, on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Senior Officers’ Mess at the Royal Military College in Kingston.
This marks the return of the popular and fun event after taking a hiatus last year, and sees an exciting array of activities from live music (where folks are encouraged to dance!) to both live and silent auctions, as well as a delicious and delightful choice of menu options.
The proceeds from the Forever Green Gala and donations through the foundation’s Partners in Education campaign support education and wildlife programs for young people at the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area (Kingston) and the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area (Brockville), helping to ensure that future generations will continue to value the natural environment.
The Foundation also administers a program of Conservation Awards to acknowledge the contributions of individuals, groups, and organizations to the preservation of the natural environment. A highlight of the 2017 Forever Green Gala will be the presentation of these awards to deserving community members and organizations. Winners will be named shortly before the gala.
The Cataraqui Conservation Foundation is guided by a volunteer board of directors representing a broad spectrum of the communities served by the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority.
Tickets for the 2017 Forever Green Gala are $125 (a charitable receipt will be issued for a portion of the ticket price) and are available by calling 613-546-4228 ext. 221.
