Brockville – A band of heavy snowfall will cross the region this afternoon resulting in poor visibility at times.
A quick 5 cm of snowfall accumulation will be possible for most areas before the snow tapers to periods of light snow this evening.
However, some areas near Perth towards the St. Lawrence River could see amounts in the 5 to 10 cm range before the snow comes to an end tonight.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to very poor visibility and rapidly accumulating snow on roadways as the heaviest band passes. In particular, travel along Highway 401 will be hazardous for a period this afternoon.
