Lyn – The village of Lyn celebrated Canada’s 150th birthday over the weekend with many activities through-out the village.
Everything got underway on Friday with a chicken BBQ.
Saturday saw a breakfast at Christ United Church, hosted by Burnbrae Farms, an antique car show, bouncy castles for the kids, Antique Fire Fighting equipment, 4-H displays, Local Artisans filled the Lyn Heritage Place Museum, and there was a craft sale.
At the Lyn Pit Conservation Area there were canoe races as well.
On the Saturday Jim & Sandy Pickard were named Lyn Citizens of the year.
