Brockville – The United Way Leeds & Grenville announces a great initiative by our partner at Medtronic in Gananoque. Medtronic recently held their staff philanthropic day.
They allowed their staff time off work to build close to 500 bears (and a few Moose) to give to
worthy agencies in need.

Medtronic partnered with the United Way Leeds & Grenville to help identify the agencies who could use the bears and to distribute them. The bears could be used for programming, to support fundraising efforts, or to offer a kind hug to someone in need.
The United Way Leeds & Grenville delivered bears to many agencies including Girls Inc., CPHC Adult Program, Children’s Mental Health – Youth Engagement Group, Ontario Early Years Program, YMCA and many more.

We are also very excited to continue to help the various agencies in their fundraising and programming efforts. The smiles when we delivered the bears was priceless”
