Brockville – The Friends of Fulford Place are holding the third annual Victorian Christmas at Fulford Place on Sunday, November 19th, between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with admission by donation.
Come to celebrate a Victorian-style Christmas in the grand, historic home of the Fulford Family, situated on the St. Lawrence River at 287 King Street East, Brockville.
Step back in time while touring the mansion and listen to the narration of the costumed guides and be mesmerized by the Pink Pills for Pale People story. The interior is beautifully adorned for Christmas, including decorated trees depicting photos of earlier years and a description, some dated 1885 and1910. Music will be provided by a female quartet Please Stay Tuned and the ever popular Joyce Lindsay.
In addition, meet Victorian Santa, all decked out in his velvet finery.
“Ho, ho, ho, it’s always a pleasure to come down to Fulford Pace to enjoy the atmosphere of this fine decorated building,” said Santa.
“It’s a real treat for Santa and Mrs. Santa too. Most assuredly I’ll be selecting some prized cookies to take back for the elves. Ho, ho, ho.”
Visitors are encouraged to leave with memories and gift-wrapped plates of delicious Christmas Cookies for $5.
Families can take photographs with Victorian Santa for a donation, or engage photographer Margaret Link for $10.00 (4×6) or $15.00 (5×7).
As well, visit The Vendors’ Hall, where local artisans will be selling unique, creative gifts for everyone, along with stopping in the Gift Shop. Plus, there are many donated prizes at the famous Raffle Table. Tickets to Beauty and the Beast, wine and much more.
Tickets are $2 each or three for $5.
Since 1993, the Friends have had fundraisers, like this, to assist in raising money for their list of restoration projects.
